A new year has started and the holiday mass shopping season is over, but we all still have a certain amount of shopping that we normally do. This is a reminder that when you have this normal, everyday shopping to do, remember to shop locally when possible.
As we have said many times, shopping locally is an important personal investment in your community. We all want Main Street to grow so go and support the businesses that are already there. Consumers are as important to a vital Main Street as any other factor. There are many other businesses in our community beyond Main Street that are worthy and deserving of your patronage. Shop these businesses when you can.
Shopping locally supports jobs in the community, and it keeps Dillon County dollars in Dillon County. Shopping locally strengthens our local economy.
We want businesses in our community. We want variety and choices in our community. We must do more that say we want it; we must support the businesses that are here.
Remember to shop Dillon County first.
