The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors defeated Carolina Academy 48-47 in varsity basketball action in Lake City on Monday, Nov. 21.
The game was knotted at 10 points after the first quarter.
In the second quarter Carolina Academy went up by 6 points outscoring the Warriors 18-12. Carolina Academy outscored Dillon Christian School 17-5 in the third quarter to take a 45-27 lead.
However, in the fourth quarter the Warriors fought back and outscored their opponents 21-12 to capture the 48-47 victory.
Lizzie Outlar and Sam Carpenter each scored 16 points in the victory for the Warriors. Thompson added 9 while Freeman connected for 4, and Stone added 3 points.
Carolina Academy was led by Lydia Grant with 17 points. Morgan Martin added 10 followed by Ward with 8, Lee and Weaver each added 4 while Castle and Prosser each added 2 points.
