Jan Powers-Penuel has been named Teacher of the Year at Lake View Elementary.  
She is currently teaching fifth grade and is in her twentieth year of her career in education.  As an educator, she has served as a teacher and as an administrator.  
Mrs. Powers-Penuel earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Coker College.  
She also earned a Master’s Degree in Reading Literacy from Walden University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College.
