Gideon Jim Atkins was in charge of the Sunday, July 10, 11:00 a.m. worship service at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.  He blessed the congregation with scripture reading and informed everyone of the wonderful service that the Gideons were conducting not only in Dillon but around the world.
The Gideons is an association of Christian professional and business men and women dedicated to informing the public about Jesus. This group shares personally and also provides and distributes Bibles throughout the world by sharing Scriptures in schools, colleges, jails, prisons, hospitals, hotels, medical offices, and many other locations.
