LATTA— Shuler’s Barbecue announced that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence. The achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned great traveler reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.
Norton and Lynn Hughes opened Shuler’s Barbecue in a log cabin on their family farm in 1996. They created a restaurant based on good old-fashioned home cooking, from recipes passed down through their families. Norton and Lynn maintain the old-fashioned methods of cooking Shuler’s pork, chicken and ribs over wood coals. They believe the “Low and Slow” method is the only way to cook authentic old southern barbecue. This wholesome home cooking country buffet became an immediate local hit and is now, a tourist “must stop” in traveling to and from the Myrtle Beach area offering not only the restaurant, but a General Store and Banquet Hall.
“We are pleased that our loyal customers have taken the time to leave positive ratings about our food and hospitality. We take pride in our business and appreciate our patrons, ” said Norton and Lynn Hughes, Owners of Shuler’s Barbecue.
“With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honors hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travelers,” said Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor. “This recognition helps travelers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travelers feel more confident in their booking decisions.”
The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
