The Democratic Primary election will be held on Tuesday, June 14th. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
There will be no Republican Primary election because there are no candidates on the ticket with opposition.
One must vote in the Democratic Primary election to vote for Sheriff or Dillon County Council. It does not matter which party one voted for in the Presidential Preference Primary. This has no bearing on this election.
There are eight different ballot styles in this election. The ballot that one votes on is determined by the Senate, House, and County Council district in which one lives.
The following races are being held on Tuesday:
– State Senate District 30: Patrick T. Richardson, Kent Williams
– State House of Representatives District 57: Lucas Atkinson, Lee Walter Jenkins Jr., Ryan M. Waller.
– Sheriff: Major Hulon, Douglas “Humbunny” Pernell.
– Dillon County Council District One: James “Hoghead” Campbell, Randy Goings, Mike Powell
– Dillon County Council District Two: Bobby K. Moody, Jack Scott, Marvin Suggs.
– Dillon County Council District Four: Janet Altman Byrd, T.F. “Buzzy” Finklea, Aaron R. Gandy
Primary Election Is Tuesday, June 14th
