A body found at a bridge on Road 30 in the Lake View area on February 24th has been identified, according to Coroner Donnie Grimsley.
Grimsley identifies the man as Serafin Magallanes Castaneda, a 28-year-old Hispanic male.
According to information received at the time of the incident from Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, “Litter Control Officer Roderick Miller was at the bridge on Road 30 near Lake View picking up trash and noticed something suspicious and contacted Sheriff Major Hulon. Deputies responded to the location for further investigation and determined that there was a body.” SLED Crime Scene and the Coroner’s Office assisted.
