Two local teams will play for state titles this weekend.

The Dillon Softball team will play Buford at South Florence on Friday at 6:30 p.m. for the Class AA state title. In Game One, Buford defeated Dillon, 3-0. Dillon came back in Game Two winning 5-3.

The Latta Baseball team will play McBee in Lakewood on Friday at 7:00 p.m. for the Class A state title. McBee defeated Latta in the first game, 6-2, and Latta came back in Game Two defeating McBee, 5-1.

Good luck to our local teams. Win or lose, The Dillon Herald will be placing a congratulatory page in the paper next week.
