The DCS Speed & Strength Team traveled to Wilson Hall in Sumter Saturday, 4/30, to compete in the 2016 meet.
They competed against 12 total schools in Class A/AA, and I’m proud to announce that they won the State Championship for a second year in a row. This is an exciting achievement for our school.
In the past four years, they have finished as State Champions (2013), Runner-up (2014), and then State Champions again the past two years (2015 & 2016).
In this year’s event, they had individual weight class State Champions as follows:
Luke Price (with a perfect score, winning all six events in his weight class)
Kelvin Stackhouse (again, with a perfect score, winning all six events in his weight class) TeShaun Lane
They had individual weight class runners-up as follows: Evan Paul, Anthony “Red” Williams, Tyreke Toomer.
Team members who participated and contributed to the Team State Championship were: Daniel Camp, Jackson Wolfe, Jared Ivey, Garret Collins, Tyreke Toomer, TeShaun Lane, Michael Minges, Anthony “Red” Williams, Kelvin Stackhouse, Luke Price, and Evan Paul.
