The Lake View Wild Gators defeated Lake City 11-5 in five innings in varsity softball action on Wednesday, March 16, in Lake City.
Ally Spivey allowed only six hits in complete game while striking out three and walking only 1.
The Wild Gators’ Madison Greene  picked up 6 rbi while going 3 for 4 at the plate. Ally Spivey garnered 2 hits in 3 at-bats, and Kayla Page picked up one hit in 2 trips to the plate.
Lake View picked up 6 runs in the second inning, 2 runs in the third inning, and 3 runs in the fifth while Lake City scored one run in the fourth inning.
The Lake View Lady Wild Gators committed 1 error in the game while Lake City committed 2 errors.
The losing pitcher was Hunter Nettles who pitched 4 1/3 innings giving up 9 hits, 11 runs of which 7 were earned, striking out 4, and walking 8.
Lake City was led by Amber Keefe who had 2 hits.
Lake View is 4-1 and is 2-0 in Region 8-A.
Lake View hosted Carvers Bay on Friday, March 18.
