To The Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to commend a fellow writer, Bishop Michael Goings for his informative article on one of Dillon’s finest citizens who passed away way too soon in life.
Elder Kevin Thomas will be greatly missed by many people of all races who got to know and appreciate what this man contributed in his short life.
As the Bishop stated in his article, he was a small man in statue, but he stood very tall in his actions and motives. It was my distinct privilege to sit down with Kevin a couple of years ago and to write an article on him that was published in The Dillon Herald.
He served this town and community is so many capacities. He was a first class funeral director, but he served in so many other ways.
Kevin will be a hard man to replace, but we don’t determine when we depart this life. We all can take comfort knowing he was a man of God, and he will spend eternity with the Savior of the World. My heartfelt sympathy to the Thomas family, who are fine people.
Thank you again Bishop Goings for sharing your thoughts on this very worthy citizen of our county.
