Bond was denied on Wednesday, March 16, on a suspect charged in the death of Jamal Smith of Rowland, North Carolina.
Smith and his vehicle were found in the Little Pee Dee River at Harllee’s Bridge in the Little Rock Community of Dillon County on January 28, 2016.
Bond was denied on Ervin Stanley, age 53, of Dillon, according to Assistant Solicitor Shipp Daniel.
Christopher Green, age 33, of Dillon, withdrew his motion and did not go before a judge.
Both are charged with murder, possession of a weapon during violent crime, and criminal conspiracy.
Both were taken into custody on February 5th.
