On March 9th, the Dillon Garden Club, the Glove and Trowel Garden Club and the Yellow Jessamine Garden Club will host the Spring Meeting for the Coastal District of the Garden Club of South Carolina. Ladies from twenty-three Federated clubs in seven different counties will come to Dillon for this meeting that will be held at the City of Dillon Wellness Center. Julie LeChette, meeting chairman, has been meeting with the three club presidents, Pat Laird, Julie Sawyer, Mildred Mishue and two members from each club since last summer on the preparations for this meeting. This will be a wonderful time to learn about new projects and share gardening ideas for the upcoming spring and summer. A special guest, Mary Ridgeway, the Garden Director for Kalmia Gardens in Hartsville, will be our guest speaker. All three garden clubs are members of the National Garden Club, Inc., the South Atlantic Region of the National Council, The Garden Club of South Carolina, Inc. and the Coastal District of GCSC.
