The Dillon County Boys and Girls Youth Center, in conjunction with Dillon County Economic Development Association (EDA) was instrumental in distributing 100 large, 18-pound hams to needy families in Dillon County during the Christmas holiday season. The hams were distributed in one of the retail store’s parking lot here in Dillon.
Mr. Tonny McNeil, Director of Dillon County Economic Development, spearheaded the event with Kenny Smith, President of The Dillon County Boys and Girls Youth Center. They also provided 12 needy families with monetary gifts and toys to ensure their family could enjoy Christmas. Families responded back to Tonny and Kenny, thanking them for making their Christmas an enjoyable occasion.
Mr. McNeil said that “just seeing the smiles on their faces” was worth the sacrifice made by both. We would like to also thank the other supporters for their support and dedication to this cause.
The Dillon County Boys and Girls Youth Center is a non-profit, tax deductible 501(c)3 entity.
