During this past Christmas season, First Presbyterian Church reached out to the college students of our community. On December 18, 2015, college students from multiple churches in Dillon and surrounding counties, gathered for supper and a time of worship.
Matthew Adams, the Director of Youth and Family Ministries at First Presbyterian in Dillon, coordinated the event and Rev. David McIntosh, the Pastor of Hartsville Presbyterian Church in Hartsville, SC, was the guest speaker. His sermon was entitled “A Mary Christmas” and he challenged the students to live a life that is quick to trust our faithful God no matter the circumstances.
Mr. Adams led the time of worship, as the students and guests sang Christmas hymns, read Scripture corporately, and listened to the preaching of God’s Word.
First Presbyterian has already planned for this event to take place again on December 20, 2016. All college students from our county are invited to attend. If you have any questions, please call the First Presbyterian Church office at 843-774-8351.
