The construction on the new KJ’s Market store that will replace Carl’s IGA is progressing. The nearly 32,000 sq.ft. store is being constructed behind the present Carl’s IGA store which will be torn down at the completion of KJ’s. The store will have the same owners and the same management team. The store will feature an expanded deli with an eat-in area. Organic produce will be offered, and there will be a greater variety of regular produce. Every department will be enlarged including the health and beauty departments as well as non-food items. The store will have wider aisles which will give a more spacious shopping experience. An additional 30 positions is expected to be added to the present staff. The store will be open from 6 a.m.-11 p.m., 7 days a week. (Photo by Johnnie Daniels/The Dillon Herald)
