On November 13, 2015, the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at South of the Border at the Mexico Shop in reference to an assault and purse snatching, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
According to an incident report by Deputy Andrew Miller, a female victim was approached by a female at the Mexico Shop and pushed to the ground and the victim’s purse taken by the female suspect. According to the victim the female suspect appeared to be a Hispanic female with dark hair and wearing pink pants and a dark colored shirt. The suspect got into a vehicle, possibly a Honda with a male driving the vehicle. The victim was transported by Dillon County EMS to a local hospital for medical treatment from the assault.
