Kemper Baptist Church celebrated the 127th Homecoming on Sunday, October 18. The church and the Fellowship Hall were beautifully decorated by a group including Susan Jordan, Ann Sealey, Carolyn Scott, and others.
The worship service began at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Haywood Proctor welcomed the overflow crowd and made the announcements. The church was packed with extra seats to accommodate members, past members, friends, and visitors.
Back Home, the featured gospel group, provided special music and performed many gospel songs to everyone’s delight.
At the conclusion of the service, everyone adjourned to the Fellowship Hall for a delicious meal and fellowship. The Fellowship Hall was really busy all morning as people were preparing food while others were delivering dishes that were already prepared. There was something for everyone at the table.
If one left hungry, it was one’s own fault. All in attendance enjoyed the service, the food, and the fellowship.
