McLeod Physician Associates and McLeod Medical Center Dillon are pleased to announce the association of Samantha C. Willard, BSN, MHA, MSN, FNP-C, at McLeod Pediatrics Dillon. Samantha has worked in various roles with McLeod Health since 1998. She has also served on faculty at Florence-Darlington Technical College.
Samantha earned her FNP degree from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC. She is certified in Family Practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Samantha, who was inspired by her great aunt to become a registered nurse, views advancing her career and becoming a nurse practitioner as an opportunity to improve the health of others. “As a Nurse Practitioner in Dillon, I want to help improve the health of the children living in this county and the surrounding areas,” said Samantha. “I want to make a difference in the lives of children by gaining the trust of my patient’s and their families.”
It was at McLeod Pediatrics Dillon when Samantha worked there as a trainer for the Eclinicals Electronic Medical Record software that she made the decision to go back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner. “I really enjoyed working with the staff then, and I am glad to now join their team full time. I truly love children and caring for them has always been a love of mine,” said Samantha.
A native of Darlington, SC, Samantha enjoys the feel of a small, close knit community like Dillon. “I love the hometown feel of McLeod Dillon,” said Samantha. “I feel very welcomed and at home here. I know that this is the best place for me to practice medicine.”
Samantha and her husband Theo live in Darlington. Theo is a Director at McLeod Health Cheraw. They have 3 children, Kourtney (age 21), Kayla (age 10), and Khloe (age 7). Samantha enjoys shopping, reading, and traveling.
