Mr. Bill Scott died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at McLeod Hospice after an illness.
Mr. Scott was born in Dillon, SC on December 15, 1946, the son of the late W.E. and Gladys Scott.  He was employed by Dillon County as a heavy equipment operator in roads and bridges.  He found pleasure in vegetable gardening.  He was well known for his collards, which were enjoyed by many people.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances Britt Scott; son, Ellis Scott and his wife Vickie Moody Scott; daughter, Shannon Harrelson and her husband, Ricky Harrelson; three grandchildren, Taylor Cranford, Brittany Cranford, and Matthew Scott; one great grandson, Jacob Cranford; two brothers, Bobby McLean and his wife Judy and Knox McLean and his wife Elaine; two sisters, Marilyn Garner and Judy Carabo and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Emily McCormick.
A graveside service was Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at Lake View Cemetery directed by Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.  Visitation was Friday, September 25, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home, 449 Road 300, Lake View, SC.
