An arrest has been made in the shooting incident that occurred in Little Rock on Wednesday, September 23, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
Quinton Laprix Davis, age 33, of North Carolina and formerly of Dillon, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession of a firearm by person convicted of a felony and discharging a firearm into a dwelling.
Deputies with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a shooting incident along with Dillon County EMS in Little Rock on Highway 9 West at about 11:45 p.m. on September 23.
Upon arrival of law enforcement, a male victim was located, and he had been shot while driving his vehicle at Highway 9 and Little Rock Avenue in Little Rock. While officers were on the scene investigating the shooting of the victim they learned that a residence on Little Rock Avenue had been shot also.
The victim was transported to the hospital from the scene by Dillon County EMS.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the South Carolina Highway Patrol with traffic control and detour due to Highway 9 being shut down temporarily during the investigation.
