Henry T. Smith, 76, formerly of Mullins, SC, a resident of Dillon, SC, passed away peacefully at his home on the night of September 7, 2015.
Funeral services were 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at Hamer Church of God with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation was 3:00-4:00 P.M. Wednesday prior to the service at the church.
Tommy was preceded in death by his beautiful and loving wife Betty J. Smith (Sellers).  He was known as Tommy to his countless friends and family.  A brilliant business man and devoted family man.   He will be greatly missed, but his memories and many acts of kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. 
As the former owner/operator of Charlie’s Restaurant, he came in contact with thousands of individuals from all over the country.  Everyone who knew him can honestly say he was hard to forget. 
He was the strength of his family and constant example of what a good man should be. 
He laid the foundation and cleared the pathway for his family to continue to strive for success.  His family is his legacy.
Father of Bonnie S. Barfield (Louis), Dwayne Smith (Michelle), Angela Smith (Eddie Morrison), and Chad Smith; grandfather of Kelly E. Cox Watson (Harold), Kylie S. Carnes (Jason), Brandon Smith, Bailey E. Smith, and Bryan Smith; great grandfather to 4 beautiful children; brother to his sisters, Margaret Morris, Pauline Brown both of Mullins, Betsy Brown (Bill) of Charleston, Mary E. Lewis (Gilbert) of Nichols, Betty Martin (Hollis) of Mullins, and Suzie Martin (Skip) of Ridgeville; brother in law, Roger Sellers (Grace) of Florence; special friend, Helen Hubbard (James).
