The Dillon County Council voted 4-3 last week to allow residents of the municipalities to get a free decal to enter and use the county trash sites.
Voting to allow the residents of the municipalities to use the sites were Councilman Stevie Grice, Councilman Archie Scott, Councilman Robbie Coward, and Chairman T.F. “Buzzy” Finklea, Jr.
Voting against the motion were Councilman Harold Moody, Councilman Randy Goings, and Councilman Bobby Moody.
All citizens who wish to use the Dillon County convenience (trash) sites/recycling centers will be required to display a decal on their vehicle.
One decal will be issued per household. Residents of th municipalities must go to the Dillon County Auditor’s Office, located on the second floor of the Dillon City-County Complex and show proof of their address or a tax notice to receive a decal.
