Services for Robert Earl Johnson will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at East Dillon Baptist Church with burial in Bethesda Southern Methodist Church Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnson, 49, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, September 16, 1965, he was the son of Betty Robison Bethea and the late Earl Dean Johnson.  He graduated from Dillon High School, Florence-Darlington Technical College, South Carolina Bankers School at University of South Carolina, and Leadership Florence.  He was employed by Anderson Brothers Bank, and was a member of East Dillon Baptist Church.  Robert Earl was a former Chairman of Dillon County Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Dillon County United Way, member of Pee Dee Work Force Investment Board, member of Dillon Rotary Club, Vice President of First Bank,  Farm City Outstanding Business Person Award, and Co-Chairman Dillon County Car Show.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Weatherford Johnson of Latta; daughters, Summer Bryant-Cook (Charles), and Amanda Smith (Corey), both of Dillon; mother, Betty R. Bethea of Dillon; grandchildren, Morgan Bryant-Cook, Skylar Ann Smith, and Rivers McNair Smith; step-grandchildren, Bryan Cook, Danielle Moody, and Tessa Jackson; special friends, Emory & Amanda Stephens.
Robert Earl was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, Robert & Zola Robison; and his paternal grandparents, James & Mary Hunt.
