Sheriff Major Hulon has formed a Sheriff’s Advisory Panel.
The organizational meeting was held on Monday, August 11th.
“The birthing of Dillon County’s Sheriff Advisory Panel is a pioneer movement. A movement that I have envisioned and wanted since 2009. I am pleased with the panelists and confident that this Advisory Panel will evolve to do great things for Dillon County,” said Sheriff Major Hulon.
The purpose of the panel is to create a two-way communication between the community and the Sheriff’s Department.
They will identify problems and work together to provide recommendations for solutions.
It also strive to gain the public trust and support by building a better understanding between the Sheriff’s Department and the public it serves through education and communication.
The advisory panel isn’t just creating another avenue between the Sheriff’s Department and the community. This is a way to get feedback from the community and give them information they can take back to their community and take advice on what the Sheriff’s Office can do to do a better job.
