Latta’s Boy Scout Troop 777 recently relived a part of history when they participated in the camping program aboard the World War II Aircraft Carrier YORKTOWN in Charleston Harbor.

The troop camped with other troops from around the United States while touring the YORKTOWN, World War II Submarine CLAMAGORE, and the World War II Destroyer, LAFFEY. Morning and evening meals were prepared and served to the youngsters in the “Chief’s Mess” aboard the YORKTOWN for the full effect of having lived aboard the famous man-of-war.
