The Inspirational Vocal Camp (IVC) was held July 13th-17th at the Union AME Learning Center Lake View, SC.
The camp was started by Sterling and Breian lee as a way to inspire youth within the community to explore their love for music and especially for music that inspires and uplifts.
As stated by one of the trainers, Stellar Award winner Kendra Smith, “There is no music like gospel music. It uplifts you, connects to you, and helps us through our emotions.” At IVC we want to help shape the next generation to be trail blazers in our community as worship leaders, songwriters, producers, teachers and artists of gospel and inspiration.
The trainers and presenters for the week were Pastors Rodney & Lanola Goings of Heart of Christ Ministries in Sumter, SC, Associate Pastor & National Recording Artist Rebekah Baker of Outreach Family Fellowship, Kenny Smith of Devine Records, Kendra Smith (2015 Stellar Award Winner) Martina Mckoy (Horry County Teacher of the Year Finalist)and Breian Lee (member of National Recording Artist EnDure).
IVC would like to thank Union AME Church and Pastor Robert Hunter and Mrs. Ruthabell Nance for allowing IVC to use their facilities throughout the week.
