LATTA’S 10U DIXIE ANGELS won the South Carolina Dixie Softball state tournament on Wednesday, July 15, defeating Westminster 7-2 in the championship game in Seneca, South Carolina. Latta’s 10 & under Angels Allstars won the South Carolina Dixie Angels Softball State Tournament on Wednesday, July 15, beating Westminster 7-2 in Seneca, SC.

The Latta Angels went undefeated in the tournament, going 5-0 and scoring 42 runs, allowing only six runs.

Latta shut out Lancaster 10-0 in game one, and defeated Westminster 10-2 in game two. Latta took on Dillon in the third game for a 5-1 win before facing Lancaster a second time, earning a 10-1 win. Lancaster finished in third place. Westminster finished second after falling to Latta in the championship.

Latta will now represent South Carolina in the Dixie Angels World Series in West Monroe, Louisiana, and will play Tennessee in their first game of the World Series on Saturday, August 1, at 4:00 p.m.
