The South Carolina Junior Golf Association’s Pee Dee Chapter continued the Hootie & the Blowfish Summer Tour at Governor’s Run Golf Club in Lamar, SC, on Tuesday.
In the girls 7-9 division, Cayleigh Jane Goff shot a 53 and Hannah Palmer shot a 58, and in the 13-18, Shino Sonoda shot an 82, with Kiana Baker following with a 94 and Ashley Miller earning a 117.
In the girls 10-12, Dillon’s Brenna Miller led with a 58, and Emma Hunt earned a 62.
In boys golf, Chase Broach led the 8-9 division with a 46, and Thomas McDaniel shot a 48.
In the 10-12, Thomas Davis and Gene Zeigler each shot a 39 with Davis winning the playoff for the first place points. Takeshi Sonoda and Cameron McLeod tied for third at 42. Tristen McKay took fifth with a 45, followed by Jay Smith, 49; Landen Seiffert, 60; Clay Cates, 62; Kaiden Shaffer, 64; and Pearce Scott, 65.
In the 13-14, Rylee Goff took first place with a 77, followed by Cameron Mills at 84; Stone Godbold, 86; and Noah Mims, 87. Dillon’s Ryan Stephens shot an 89 for firth place, followed by James Potter, 91; William Reynolds, 95; William Phipps, 96; and Michael Hobbs, 97.
Lake View’s Dylan Rogers finished 10th with a 99. Dylan Berg shot a 102; Luke Parrott, 108; Brock Patterson, 121; and Andy Calcutt rounded out the field with a 126.
In the 15-18 division, JB Muller took first with a 77, followed closely by Christian Owens with a 78. Max Holcombe and Dylan Dickerson each shot an 81 to tie for third. Wilson Josey took fifth with an 83, and Luke Freeman and Zachary Owens tied for sixth with an 87.
The Pee Dee Chapter was scheduled to play at the Country Club of South Carolina in Florence, SC, on Wednesday.
The junior golfers will take two weeks off for the July 4th holiday and will return to action on Tuesday, July 14, at Dusty Hills Country Club in Marion, SC.
