South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Vontray Sellers (DOB: 1989) of Dillon, S.C. on two (2) counts involving the sexual exploitation of a minor. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, made the arrest. The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
An undercover investigation revealed Sellers was involved in the distribution of child pornography on his personal computer.
A search warrant was obtained and executed at Sellers residence on June 9, 2015. Computer-related equipment and cellular devices were seized for further examination.
Sellers was arrested and charged with two (2) counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor second degree (§16-15-405), a felony offense punishable by up to ten (10) years imprisonment on each count.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
Sellers was formerly the recreation director in Latta.
