Dillon Christian School’s Jim Carr finished 11 over in the two-day SCISA Class AA State Golf Tournament held at the General Hackler Course at Coastal Carolina University on Monday, April 28, and Tuesday, April 28.
Carr competed as an individual, shooting an 80 on day on and a 75 on day two for a total of 155. Carr finished in the top 15 in Class AA.
Trace Crowe of Hilton Head Christian earned medalist honors, shooting a 69 and a 66 for a total of 135. Crowe was also named the 2015 SCISA Player of the Year.
Also competing as individuals, Devin Srivastava of Spartanburg Day finished with a 159; Jared Rountree of Thomas Heyward finished with a 163; Hunter Seegars of Robert E. Lee finished with a 158; and Aaron Goldstein of St. Andrew’s finished with a 168.
Hilton Head Christian earned the state championship with a team total of 568 and Hilton Head Prep finished second with a 606.
Palmetto Christian earned a 627; Oakbrook Prep, 628; Trinity-Byrnes, 647; Spartanburg Christian, 659; Calhoun Academy, 663; Pee Dee Academy, 716; Carolina Academy, 737; Williamsburg Academy, 739; and Florence Christian, 769.
Zach Lane led Pee Dee Academy with a 169; Dakota Atkinson, 175; James Shelley, 187; and Hunter Williams, 185.
For Florence Christian, Tyler Tisdale shot a 190; Clay Daughtery, 185; and Cade Lyerly, 192. On day one, John Dansmore shot a 94 and Jarrett Giles shot a 110, and on day two, Evan Tan shot a 108.
In Class A, Lowcountry Prep finished as the state champions with a 761, and Kenneth Kaltz of Wardlaw Academy took medalist honors with a total of 153.
In Class AAA, Wilson Hall earned the state title with a score of 600 and Patrick Talledo of Cardinal Newman earned medalist honors with a 141.
Glen Rector of Wilson Hall was named the 2015 SCISA Coach of the Year.
