The Week Of The Young Child is being celebrated at Whittaker Head Start Center this week.
The week began with a balloon release on Monday. Fifty balloons in Head Start’s colors of red, white, and blue were released in commemoration of the 50 years of Head Start.
Afterwards, parents in attendance went to the classrooms to read to the children. Later this week, children will write letters and will have visits from the police department and fire department.
