Dillon’s Lady Wildcats earned an 11-1 win over Marion on Tuesday night in varsity softball action in Dillon.
Dillon picked up three runs in the bottom of the first inning and added two in the second and four in the third for a 9-0 lead. Marion’s only run came in the top of the fourth, and the Wildcats sealed the win with two runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Shaquailla German pitched a complete game with one hit and one hit by pitch, striking out eight. Presley Spivey took the loss, pitching three innings for nine runs, six earned runs, 10 hits, and one out.
German also led the Lady Wildcats at bat, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. Shar’Asia Samuel went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI, and Johnna Rogers went 2-for-3 with one RBI. The Wildcats had two errors in the win.
For the Swamp Foxes, Sara King went 1-for-3. Marion had three errors in the effort.
Dillon improved to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in Region 8-2A.
The Lady Wildcats will host Aynor tonight at 6:30 p.m.
