Dillon, Latta, and Lake view were all ranked in the top 10 in the state in the latest South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association polls released Friday.

In Class 2A, the Wildcats were ranked in fourth place with Ninety Six, Mid-Carolina, and Woodruff making up the top three.

The Wildcats got off to a shaky start in their early games this season but picked up three wins last week, including two conference wins, for a 3-4 record.

Chesnee took the fifth place spot, with Bishop England in eighth. Buford and Powdersville tied for sixth, and Indian Land and Strom Thurmond tied for ninth.

In Class A, the Latta Vikings were ranked second behind Fox Creek, with East Clarendon in third, Lamar in fourth, and Lake View’s Wild Gators in fifth.

Latta is 3-2-1 in the regular season and 1-0 in Region 8-A, while Lake View is undefeated at 11-0 in regular season play and 5-0 in the region.

Lewisville was ranked sixth, followed by Southside Christian, Christ Church, Bamberg-Ehrhardt, and McBee.

Belton-Honea Path took the top spot in Class 3A, and Summerville was ranked first in Class 4A.
