The Dillon County 4-H Shooting Sports Team has received grant funds from the MidwayUSA Foundation, a public charity working to provide financial support to youth shooting teams through its Team Endowment Account Program. The grant money will help pay for team expenses, such as ammunition, targets, and more.
Grants totaling over $1.4 million were sent to 475 youth shooting teams in this most recent grant cycle. Teams are eligible to apply for a grant once per year and can grow their Team Endowment Account through soliciting private donations, which are matched 1:1, earnings, and conducting fundraisers. The MidwayUSA Foundation also offer items to active teams to use as fundraisers, such as unique firearms, optics, and knives. Over 2,000 shooting teams across the country have money in their Team Endowment Account.

The Dillon County team used a Midway USA donation of an SKB automatic shotgun as a fund raising item. Zachary Sisler was the lucky recipient of this sporting shotgun. We would like to thank the community for helping support the team in this effort.
The Dillon County Teams latest accomplishment came at Rocky Knoll, near Abbeville, SC, where the team had only four shooters to attend the 100-target 4-H sporting clay shoot. The team came in 3rd place in the junior advanced division. Coached by Emory Herring and Brian Mason, the squad of Justin Herring, Gately Bethea, and Jackson Elrod came in third place with Mason Mathews shooting as alternate.
Rich McFee of Dillon County was HOA in the Junior 1st year division.
The team would like to express its appreciation to Midway USA, area community individuals who participated in the fund raising drive, and Liberty Gun Store in Mullins for their support of the 4-H program.
