The Dillon Christian School Warriors fell 43-39 to the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles on Thursday night in boys varsity basketball action.

The Warriors took an 11-8 lead in the first quarter, but the Eagles rallied for an 11-4 second quarter to lead 19-15 at the half. Dillon Christian narrowed the gap with a 12-10 third quarter, but Pee Dee retained the win with a 14-12 fourth.

Tyler Page led the Eagles with a game-high 12 points and Justin Rogers added 11 in the win. Chase Ankarstran scored 8; Jesse Lane, 5; Gib Fenters, 5; and Frank Drew, 1.

Jim Carr led the Warriors with 11 points and Red Williams added nine with Luke Price earning seven. Matthew Price scored four; Michael Minges, 4; Ellison Rourke, 2; and Jake Boykin, 2.

Pee Dee improved to 11-8 and 4-4 in SCISA Region 3-2A and secured the third seed in the Region Tournament set to begin tonight at Florence Christian.

The Warriors closed out the regular season with a 2-17 overall record and a 1-7 record in the region.

The Dillon Christian School boys were scheduled to host Marlboro Academy on Monday night to play for a spot in the SCISA Region Tournament. The winner will face Carolina Academy tonight at Florence Christian in the first round of the tournament.

In junior varsity action, the JV Eagles also earned a win over the Warriors. Dillon Christian’s JV boys will face Carolina Academy on Thursday night at 7:45 p.m. at Florence Christian. Make plans to attend to support our local team!
