Dillon Christian School’s Lady Warriors fell 48-33 to The King’s Academy Lions on Friday night in girls varsity basketball action in Florence.

The Lady Lions took a 6-5 lead in the first quarter, but Dillon Christian outpaced the Lions 13-7 in the second to lead 18-13 at the half. But the Lions rallied in the third quarter, pouring in the points to outscore the Warriors 22-7 and take a firm lead, capping the win with a 13-8 fourth quarter.

Sara Bass led the Lady Warriors with a game-high 15 points in the effort and Jamie Carpenter added seven points. Sam Carpenter scored 4; Madison King, 3; Erin Hamer, 2; and Myra Bracey, 2.

The King’s Academy was led by Addie Bokelman with a team-high 14 points and Caroline Bochette with 12. Eliza Wilhoit scored 8; Chanie Asger, 4; Taylor Lott, 4; Kellen Lott, 3; and Avery Webb, 3.

The King’s Academy improved to 3-17 overall with the win. Both teams are winless in their regions.

The Lady Warriors are scheduled to host Marlboro Academy tonight with junior varsity action beginning at 4:00 p.m., and on Thursday night the Warriors will wrap up the regular season on the road at Pee Dee Academy. The Region Tournament will be held beginning on Tuesday, February 10, at Florence Christian.
