The Dillon Wildcats rallied in the fourth quarter to earn a 56-50 win over the Aynor Blue Jackets on Friday night in varsity boys basketball action.

Aynor took an 11-9 lead in the first quarter and outscored Dillon 13-11 in the second to lead 24-20 at the half. But the Wildcats rallied for a 16-13 third quarter to trail 37-36. The Wildcats pushed for a 20-13 fourth quarter to seal the win.

Lawrence Crouch lead the Wildcats with a team-high 19 points. Joe Manning scored 9; JaQuan Knowlin, 8; Omar McCollum, 5; Darius Bethea, 5; Avery McCall, 4; and CJ Sowells, 2.

Aynor was led by Jackson Woodle with a game-high 20 points and Caleb Jenerette added 12. Long scored 7; Windham, 6; Z. Jenerrete, 2; Gore, 2; and Sanders, 1.
Dillon improved to 10-8 overall and 4-2 in Region 8-2A.

Dillon is scheduled to be on the road tonight to face Mullins, but the Wildcats will be at home for the rest of the regular season, beginning with Marion on Thursday. Dillon will host Loris next Monday night and will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday against Waccamaw. Game times are set for 6:00 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our local team!
