Services for Theo Owens will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Dillon Church of God with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Owens, 79, died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Dillon County, SC, September 10, 1935, he was the son of the late Gary Owens and Mary Owens Turner.  He was a member of the Dillon Church of God, and was the widower of Annie Ruth Hayes Owens.
Survivors include his children, Patricia (Malcolm) Gerald of Latta, Gail (Andy) Whittington of St. Matthews, Steve Owens of Florence, Teresa (Jay) Lucas of London, KY, Wendy (Lawrence) Wethington, and Kenny Owens, both of Dillon; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Matson of Little Rock.
Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Owens; mother, Mary Owens Turner; and a sister, Shirley Hubbard.
