Barbara Ann Lane Massey, 73, of Statesville, died Wednesday December 31, 2014 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Dillon County, South Carolina on December 21, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Buck Lane and Ruby Taylor Lane. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Crawford Massey, a brother, Leonard Lane, a sister, Opal Lane and two grandchildren: Amber Jones and April Goodyear.
Mrs. Massey was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, sewing, baking and time with her family.
Survivors include four daughters, Sandy Altamirano of Statesville, Helen Roush of Swansboro, Janice Jones and Wanda Aquino both of Beaufort, S.C. Also surviving are brothers, Thomas, Elbert and Clarence Lane all of Latta, S.C. along with 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services celebrating Mrs. Massey’s life were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel.
