Services for Tex Bernard Beckwith will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Second Baptist Church with burial in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Beckwith, 83, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.

Born in Dillon County, SC, April 15, 1931, he was the son of the late William Harvey Beckwith and Mary Carter Beckwith. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Sylvia Bass of Hamer, Mitchell Beckwith of Warsaw, NC, Jerry Beckwith of Dillon, Barbara Bridges and Eric Beckwith, both of Loris, and Michael Beckwith of Dillon; brothers, W. Howard Beckwith of Florence, Clayton Beckwith of Lumberton, NC, and Bill Beckwith of Palatka, FL; sister, Sue Turbeville of Latta; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
