Dillon’s Lady Wildcats hosted Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators for varsity basketball action on Monday, December 15.

The Lady Cats took a 19-6 lead in the first quarter and added 24 points in the second for a 43-17 lead at the half. Dillon outscored Lake View 36-16 in the second half to seal the win at 79-33.

Kendra McLeod led the Lady Wildcats with a team-high 18 points and seven rebounds, and Khamele Manning added 15 points with seven assists in the win. Shar’Asia Samuel earned 11 points with six steals; Jelissa Fentzlaff scored 1 points and grabbed a team-high 15 rebounds; and Shakira Samuel added 10 points. Adriana McCollum added six points for the Wildcats; Green, 4; Dria Campbell, 4; and Cali McRae, 2.

Lake View’s Olivia McDaniel scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Lady Gators and Page added eight in the effort.

The Lady Wildcats improved to 6-1 overall in Class 2A, while the Class A Lady Gators slipped to 2-1 overall.

Dillon was scheduled to host Marlboro County this week and the Wildcats were set to participate in the Robeson County Shootout beginning on Wednesday.

Lake View will host Aynor tonight at 6:00 p.m. in their last game before the holiday break. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
