Mrs. Mary Alice Page, 77, died Monday, December 15, 2014 at her home, 204 Peachtree Street, Lake View, SC after an illness.
A graveside service was Wednesday, December 17 at 12:00 pm at Lake View Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cooke Funeral Home.
Mrs. Page was born in Dillon County on May 23, 1937, the daughter of the late Ringland Smith and Ellen Thomas Smith.
She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and the Lake View United Methodist Church, where she played the organ and piano and directed the Children’s Choir. Mrs. Page taught music and made other people have a love for music. She was the first woman judge in Dillon County and she served as Municipal Judge in Lake View for thirty-one years. She had a pilot’s license, was an artist and worked with the Lake View Rescue Squad.
Surviving Mrs. Page are one son, Christopher Page (Sherry) of West Columbia, SC, one grandson, Taylor Page of Columbia, one niece, Ann Huggins (Robert), and one nephew, Jeff Smith (Jenny).
Mrs. Page was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Page, Jr., and her brother, Jimmy Smith.
