The General Election was held on Tuesday, November 4th.
Robbie Coward won the District Six Council Race over Sheila Kellahan; however, several absentee ballots have been challenged. This will be taken up on Friday.
There were no other contested races locally. Other local winners who were unopposed were Teresa Campbell-Probate Judge; Kay S. McKenzie-Auditor; Jamie Calhoun Estes-County Treasurer; Harold Moody-County Council District 5; Stevie Grice-County Council District 7; and Keith Allen and Bruce Price, Jr.-Soil and Water District Commission. Jackie Hayes and Wayne George won State House of Representatives seats. Both were unopposed.
Statewide winners were Nikki Haley-Governor, Henry McMaster-Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General-Alan Wilson, Comptroller General-Richard Eckstrom, Superintendent of Education-Molly Spearman, and Hugh Weathers-Commissioner of Agriculture.
Other winners were Tom Rice-U.S. House-7th District, Lindsey Graham-U.S. Senate, and Tim Scott-U.S. Senate.
A measure to allow non-profit raffles passed as did a measure to allow the governor to appoint the adjutant general.
