The congregation of the Hamer Church of God held their Homecoming service on Sunday, October 26, at 11:00 a.m.

The pastor, Rev. Joey Nelms, opened the service with prayer and announcements. Bill Gaddy, choir director, led the choir in two special selections, “The Revelation Song” and “The Days of Elijah.” The music was provided by Johnny Jacobs on the drums, Nicholas playing the piano, Sammy Webster on lead guitar, Mike Dees on bass guitar, and John Lane on the acoustic guitar. John Lane, while playing his guitar, blessed the congregation with an old gospel song.

Rev. Jason Garner, his wife, April, and their youngest daughter were introduced to the congregation. Rev. Garner is the nephew of Pastor Joey Nelms. Rev. Garner served as an evangelist before entering pastoral work. He has served on the Church of God State Board.

The Spirit of the Lord filled the congregation as Rev. Garner began his sermon. Everyone present received a blessing.

Dinner was served in the Fellowship Hall at the conclusion of the service.

Hamer Church of God is located at 2410 Hwy 301 North, Hamer, SC.
