This salad always appeared at our Thanksgiving and Christmas tables. It comes from my late Aunt Ebbie and is very good with poultry and pork dishes.

Cranberry Salad
1 small package Cherry Jell-O (.30 oz.)
1 small can crushed pineapple in own juice (8 oz.)
1 cup cranberry sauce
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Dissolve Jell-O in one cup boiling water. Cool slightly before adding other ingredients. Refrigerate to congeal.  When doubling recipe, use one pack Cherry Jell-O and one pack Strawberry Jell-O. May use jellied or whole berry cranberry sauce – whole berry gives it a little more texture. The recipe actually calls for Ocean Spray Cran-Orange relish, but that can only be found near the holidays and then only if you are lucky enough to find it.
