CAYCE —South Carolina Electric & Gas Co. will permanently close its customer service office at 923 Highway 301 South in Dillon effective Dec. 1.
“The decision to close the Dillon office at this time is driven by operational efficiencies,” said SCE&G Vice President of Gas Operations Felicia Howard. “How customers prefer to pay and communicate with SCE&G is changing, and more of our customer interactions are moving online.”
SCE&G customers will continue to be able to conduct in-person natural gas account transactions by visiting the company’s local business office located in Florence (1812 North Irby St.). SCE&G also has reached an agreement that will allow SCE&G customers to make bill payments at any of Walmart’s 83 South Carolina stores. A Walmart store is located about 3 miles from SCE&G’s Dillon office.
SCE&G offers online payment options (www.sceg.com) and 24-hour call-in customer service (1-800-251-7234) as additional options for conducting business with the company.
South Carolina Electric & Gas Company is a regulated public utility, providing natural gas service to approximately 332,000 customers in 36 counties in the state.
