Minister Bernard McCallum was elevated to the office of Elder with the Lighthouse Full Gospel Mission Church August 3, 2014. The church is located in Washington, DC.

Elder McCallum is the son of the late Elwood and Odessa McCallum. He was born in Rowland, North Carolina and grew up in Dillon, South Carolina. He attended and graduated from Dillon County Public School System.
Elder McCallum has been connected to church from early childhood. As a child, he attended the Hazy Baptist Church in Hamer, South Carolina. Thereafter, Elder McCallum and family joined the Highway Church of Christ in Rowland, North Carolina under the leadership of Bishop R. F. Davis.
Elder McCallum relocated to Washington, D.C. to further his career opportunities. While living in Washington, he attended the Highway Church of Christ under the leadership of the late Apostle Fred Page in Baltimore, MD.
Elder McCallum later returned to South Carolina to attend Florence Darlington Technical College where he majored in Electrical Technology and General Contractor.
He returned to Washington, D.C. to remodel the Lighthouse Full Gospel Mission Church. While completing his work, he attended the Church under the leadership of Bishop James Patterson and Evangelist Ella M. Patterson.
Upon returning to Dillon, Elder McCallum became a member of Open Door Community Church in Dillon, SC under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Rick Rogers. It was during this time that Elder McCallum felt God’s call to the ministry.
He then attended Evangelistic Ministries Church, Inc. in Dillon, SC under Pastor Dr. Edward L. Ford and Co-Pastor Evangelist Lena M. Ford. He graduated from Dr. E.L. Ford Theology Bible College where he received an Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree, and Masters Degree in Theology. Elder McCallum is now under the leadership of Bishop James Patterson, Lighthouse Full Mission Church, Washington, D.C.
Elder McCallum has a daughter, La’Mekia M. Jones and a son, Bernard McCallum II.
