The Dillon Christian School Warriors traveled to Florence on Friday and over-ran the Lions of The Kings Academy 62-0, moving them to 3-0 on the year.

The Warrior offense produced over 500 yards in offense while the Warrior defense denied the Lions a single first down. It could have been uglier as six Warrior touchdowns were called back on penalties that also denied the Warriors an additional 200 yards in offense.

The Warriors added four touchdowns in the first quarter with TeShaun Lane scoring on a 51-yard run with 10:00 left in the first, followed by a 4-yard run with 8:49 left. Thomas Evans added a touchdown on a 15-yard run with 1:32 left in the quarter and Lane finished out the quarter with a 33-yard touchdown run. Jim Carr added three of four extra points to give the Warriors a 27-0 lead.

Lane added his fourth and final touchdown of the game on a 15-yard run with 8:59 left in the second quarter and Carr’s kick gave the Warriors a 34-0 lead. With 5:58 left in the second quarter, Warrior quarterback Bryan Davis hit Luke Price with a 42-yard pass for a touchdown. Thomas Evans ran in the two-point conversion to give the Warriors a 42-0 lead. Michael Minges ended the first half scoring with a 55-yard touchdown run with 2:41 left. The kick was off and the half closed with the Warriors leading 48-0.

The second half started with the clock being run without stoppage for score or penalty. Red Williams scored on a 22-yard run with 6:35 left in the third. Carr’s kick upped the lead to 55-0. Williams had earlier touchdown runs of 47 and 52 yards called back.

Minges got the final Warrior touchdown on a 4-yard run with 9:23 left in the game. Carr’s kick gave the Warriors the 62-0 win.

On offense for the Warriors, TeShaun Lane had 179 yards on 13 carries with four touchdowns; Michael Minges picked up 67 yards on five carries with two touchdowns; Red Williams had 64 yards on five carries with a touchdown; Thomas Evans had 52 yards on three carries with a touchdown; Bryan Davis hit two passes for 59 yards and a touchdown; Luke Price caught a pass for 42 yards and a touchdown; Garret Collins had a 28 yard run; Ellison Rourke caught a pass for 17 yards; and Jackson Wolfe ran for four yards.

The defense was lead by Thomas Evans with six tackles, two assists, followed by Tyquan Crosland with five tackles, two assists; Luke Price, four tackles, two assists, and a fumble recovery; Mathew Price, three tackles, five assists; Ellison Rourke, three tackles, three assists; and Jake Boykin, two tackles, seven assists, and two fumble recoveries. Samuel Coleman, Connor Hamilton, and Jackson Wolfe added two tackles each with assists. Garret Collins and Red Williams added a tackle and an assist each; Douglas Bullock added a tackle; and Jesse Miller added three assists.

The Warriors travel to Kingstree Friday night for a region battle with top ranked Williamsburg Academy with game time set for 7:30 p.m. The Stallions also have a 3-0 record this season.
