Two individuals have been charged with burglary and arson for an incident on August 8th on Lester Road, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
A fire was reported around 3 a.m. that day at the residence. Five dogs and one cat were killed in the fire. The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate. As a result of that investigation, Ray S. Fisher, IV, age 17, of Little Rock, and Matthew Ryan Cook, age 22, of Latta, were charged.
The lead investigator on the case was Reggie Thompson, who was assisted by Investigators John Willie Brown, Shannon Grainger, and Allan Rogers.
